It was a family reunion of sorts. Sadly, I had not seen Christine (or her mother, Elaine, who was also there) for some time. They were very surprised to see me! Hopefully, now that we have reconnected, we won't lose touch again.
As a bonus, my cousin Ebony, Christine's BFF since they were little girls (see I know the lingo
), was also there. She's my cousin on my mother's side, so no relation to Christine, but they have been friends since they attended Our Mother of Mercy grade school together -- just one of those wonderful little coincidences in life.
Despite lots of coaxing, Kaden refused to open his baby brown's for his Aunt NeeNee (yep, I let the neices and nephews call me that -- not that I ever had a choice. Thanks Pepe and Buck!). As you can see, he is gorgeous!!
