James attended a day camp at the local Community Activity Center. He wasn't thrilled about it until we walked in on Monday, and he saw the sign announcing a field trip the next day to Six Flags. LOL! He also liked the fact that the Center's indoor pool has a cool slide and climbing wall.
I had promised Jared, who had in-home therapy all week, something special on Friday. Although it had been a really hard day (we lost Aunt Sue early that morning), we went to the CAC during the time I knew the day campers would also be swimming. It was tough at first, because Jared was intent on getting in the Splash pool outside. Once he settled down, he really enjoyed it. Here are the boys playing in the fountain area:

Jared even started trying to swim on his own! For those of you who don't know, we discontinued his adaptive swim lessons in January because he had really started to dread going. Anyway, here's a link to a cell phone video of Jared trying to swim. He was so funny:
